Review: Shure SM58

Referred often as the “hammer” of microphones, because of its durable nature, the SM 58 doesn’t mess around. This mic can be used for just about everything and is super versatile. Dynamic mics are often used for podcasting and recording vocals which I can say this one certainly does just that! It also works wonders for recording instruments. It doesn’t really hinder quality and while there are definitely better mics out there, this one is nothing to scoff at, especially for such a relatively cheap price. Check it out here!

Classic.

Until next time, see ya!

Opinion: Covid-19

My opinions may not be accurate to yours, just a disclaimer.

Although there are many negative things to be said about COVID-19 and the coronavirus in general, we have still made it through this as people, and although the arts are struggling a lot, especially with artists trying to find work, hope shouldn’t be lost yet. People have gone through some crazy stuff and artists are using all sorts of platforms to their advantage to do some amazing things with their fans. It’s great that so many people are still into supporting these artists and I think it’s a good indicator the music market will rebound exponentially when all of this is over, same goes for the movie market.

So don’t lose hope. Music isn’t going anywhere!

Pro Tools: Setting Inputs

DISCLAIMER: Pro Tools First has some issues with doing certain things with settings. This may or may not work.

We will once again be in the mix window for this one, so same concept as the last tutorial.

It may take some fiddling around with, but follow these two photos and you should be fine!

Before anything, always check that the playback engine’s i/o is correct. Set it to your interface if you have one!
Then set your inputs on each individual channel!

Got Any Song Requests?

Hello everyone!

I’ve been as bored as ever with quarantine and all and just giving a heads up, if anyone has a request for music I would gladly consider making a mix of it or maybe even just review it or something. I feel like there’s a lot of content to make with user interaction, so don’t hesitate to ask me anything!

Until next time, see ya!
