Xpand is a German engineered MIDI synthesizer plugin that can mimic an array of a ton of instruments. It’s super impressive and blends in really well with actual instruments. The entirety of most of the songs I’ve produced use it to some extent, and there’s literally hundreds of options to tweak. This link here provides a database of free plugins that are authenticated by users, so you know they aren’t trying to scam you, just make sure you look for AAX plugins, as those are the only ones that will work with Pro Tools.
